![]() The Family of Karen Rowan has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Espanola Valley. There will be a reception afterwards in the fellowship hall at Bryce Avenue Presbyterian Church. Son, Samuel Wife, Jillian Grand-children: Ella, Jimmy (Las Cruces)Ī grave-side funeral service will be held at Guaje Pines cemetery at 10:30 am on Thursday, June 17. Son, Daniel Wife, Lili Grand-children: Austin, Nichole, Luis, Fabian (Albuquerque) Son, Josh Wife, Nancy Grand-children: Josie, Ed, Dorothy, John (Atlanta) She loved most of all the Lord Jesus her Savior and Redeemer. She loved landscaping, planting flowers, shrubs, and trees. She loved cooking and collecting recipes. She loved reading classic Christian literature. Karen loved home decorating, displaying paintings and pictures, collecting antiques, and arts and crafts projects. Karen also helped with the Good News Club that met at Pojoaque Elementary after school on Tuesday’s. Karen was then the teacher of the Good News Club at Chamisa Elementary in White Rock, where the children learned scripture verses, sang songs, played games, and had refreshments on Thursday’s after school. After the Christian school closed, Karen home-schooled her youngest son, Samuel, and her two oldest grand-children, Austin and Nichole, through high school. She was an elementary teacher at the Christian school at Bryce Avenue Presbyterian Church for many years. Karen and Randy moved to Los Alamos in April, 1976. Karen graduated in 1971 with a degree in Art History from the University of TexasĪt Austin, where she also met and married Randy Rowan, her husband of 50 years. She made profession of faith in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was Her family moved to Houston, where, at the age of 12, completely on her own, Her performances have consistently been characterized by great intensity, an extraordinary stage appearance, and a voice that perfectly embodies the heroines she portrays on. Rowan Bettjeman is known for Baelin's Route: An Epic NPC Man Adventure (2021), Epic NPC Man (2016) and Bored (2013). Karen was born in Abilene, Texas on December 13, 1949. Karen Huffstodt has enjoyed a long and distinguished career in a diverse repertoire that has encompassed the leading soprano roles of Mozart, Verdi, Wagner, and Strauss.
